Ministries:
Our Pastor, Dr.
Victor R. Thomas, has implemented several different outreach
ministries that encourage and spread the gospel of Our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ. These outreach ministries
consist of three arms where we engage and carryout the ministry by going
out into the community, visiting the incarcerated and the convalescent.
The Pastor and church
family encourage those whom we visit to join us in exalting our Lord
Jesus Christ through praying, singing and sharing the vision of the
word. We realize that these people are treasures that are a blessing
from God, and that we must go out and spread the gospel. Indeed it is
an honor to be a witness for the Lord.
Brotherhood
& Education Ministry
Aid and assist in developing and nurturing boys and young men (6-19
yrs old) into "Christian Men" and good citizens by providing
advice, friendship, mentoring and teaching of "Christian Principles".
This department focuses on promoting brotherhood of all men in the church
and the community by recommitting, rededicating, and redirecting the
role of men, to accomplish God's mission.

Education Department
 |
Lead
the church in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive
program of Christian Education. This department focuses on assisting
the pastor in providing educational programs for the church that
encourage members to recommit, rededicate, and redirect their lives
as they study God's Word. (II TIMOTHY 2:15) |
Missions Ministry
| To
Stimulate interest in spiritual growth and to assist others to recommit,
rededicate and to redirect their lives to Christ. We are followers
of Christ. We take the Word of God with us and share it with our
neighbors in the communities where we live. We share the Word with
co-workers, the sick and shut-in |

and to those in nursing
homes. We take God's Word with us everywhere.
Mothers Ministry
 |
Serve
as mentors for our church family. To provide a strong support system
for the implementation of our pastor's vision of a church united
and moving forward in spiritual and physical service for our Lord. |
Pastors Aid
Be
of assistance to aid the pastor with his needs. Our mission is to
be in service with and of service to our pastor and church familyinorder
to magnify the Lord with gladness and to exalt his name together.

Teens Ministry
 |
The
organization of the church that is for teens aged 12-18 that meets
every third and fourth Sundays. The teens learn about and discuss
ways of living Christian lifestyles. It
is our mission as the Teen Ministry to reach out to other teens
and youth by letting them know that God can change our lives for
the better and He can |
do the same for them.
Trustee Ministry - Alexander Bentley, Ministry Chairman
| I
count it a privilege to be in the position to service in the capacity
as a trustee because of several reasons. Finance, is one area in
the church that draws more attention than any other area. However,
I have been granted the luxury to be a member of this august body. |

Also, I am humbled
to serve, not because I am a trustee, but I have been designated to provide
this ministry with leadership. It is my goal that when my tenure is up,
I will have laid a foundation and guidelines for the next chairman being
that the duties of a chairman will be apparent. One of the characteristics
of a good leader is to have been a good follower. I have served as a trustee
for this church for thirty years. When the opportunity was offered to
me by the pastor, to lead the ministry, I was elated.
The ultimate
joy that I have is not by directly serving, but my joy comes from the
church having enough confidence in me to be the chairman over a ministry
that has caused many churches to split. For this, I am totally humble.
I strongly feel we must keep each other informed of our agendas, granted
that we are equal and are all on the same level. It is not necessarily
important that we agree, but it is valid that we all understand that we
may disagree at times. Once again, I pray that God and the members of
the church will be pleased with alii am endeavoring to do in this position.
I guess this is what Solomon meant in Proverbs 16:7 when he wrote, "When
a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace
with him." It is my desire to please God.
Usher Ministry
 |
Aid
and assist in seating and distributing of bulletins, tithing envelopes,
fans, water, pens, and other needs to ensure orderly worship service.
This department focuses on promoting a comfortable atmosphere in
the church for visitors and members to recommit, rededicate, and
redirect their allegiance to God Almighty. (PSALM 84:10) |
Youth Ministry
| To
aid and assist our young people (6-12 yrs old) in learning to know
Jesus as a friend, Lord and Savior by providing insight and understanding
of the scriptures, rules of the church, school, and home. We focus
on embracing and supporting |

our youth and their
families, inspire and guide their spiritual growth as followers of Jesus,
and empower them to serve the church and the community.
